The world is a deck
Regions, routes, weather, ruins, rumors, and discoveries are dealt as living cards instead of rendered as a conventional 3D map.
Browser-native fantasy MMO
A card-based exploration MMO where the world is a living deck and every shared place becomes a communal tableau.
Regions, routes, weather, ruins, rumors, and discoveries are dealt as living cards instead of rendered as a conventional 3D map.
Taverns, gates, camps, forges, dungeons, markets, and homesteads are social boards filled with player presence, public actions, and traces.
Your deck is your adventuring toolkit: travel, crafting, knowledge, social play, survival, and combat all live in the same language.
Core promise
Cardwyld is built around a simple promise: enter a shared fantasy world, prepare an expedition, reveal the unknown, solve problems with cards, and come home with maps, resources, memories, and stories.
"The game should never apologize for being card-based. The card interface is the world."
Current status
The project is in early formation. The public site is live first; the shared browser prototype follows.
